Southfield, Michigan, June 2, 2008 — In an on-going attempt to keep local communities safe, Guardian Guard Services is pleased to announce the launch of an inaugural mobile Courtesy Patrol program. Thanks to a request by residents in a Ten Mile and Greenfield Roads neighborhood, Guardian is now working with the Oak Park and Southfield Police departments in an official capacity for the first time.

In March of this year Guardian Guard was approached to provide a neighborhood patrol to an area that spans portions of both Oak Park and Southfield and is generally considered safe. Over the past few years a pattern of assaults and other crimes against persons have caused the neighborhood to seek an additional presence in their area to help deter crime. Guardian Guard worked closely with members of the community, Oak Park Police Department and the Southfield Police Department to develop an effective security plan for this area.

This plan utilizes trained, uniformed security officers patrolling in marked Guardian Guard vehicles. The intent of the courtesy patrol is to provide a presence within the area as well as functioning as the “eyes” and “ears” of law enforcement. Since its inception patrol officers have responded to everything from sick skunks to trespassing complaints. Members of the community as well as city officials have praised Guardian for the degree of professionalism and care that they have brought to this operation.
